Mommy and Me Classes Our Mommy and me classes are geared for children ages 6 mos to 5 years. These classes are designed with child growth and development in mind, but tailored in such a way to include you in this learning experience with your child. All games, activities, songs, and other tools used during class time come from teachers, day care workers, occupational therapists, and other people who work with children. Researched topics and the way we implement them are all age-appropriate. Skills focused on during class are fine and gross motor, language, cognitive, and social. Fine motor skills will help hand dexterity for eating, writing, and drawing. Gross motor focuses on using groups of muscles to stand, walk, run, and keep balance. Language helps with speaking, body language, gestures, and communicating. Cognitive helps with learning, understanding and problem-solving. Social skills work on interacting with others and cooperating. All activities are done to help enhance these skills. You can expect activities to represent the week's theme through textures, colors, numbers, shapes, sorting, memory, counting, letters, balance, rhythm, and much more. Ages 6 mos - 12 mos are offered: Monday - 1:45 - 2:30 pm Ages 12 - 24 mos are offered: Wednesday - 12:30 - 1:15 pm Ages 2 - 3 years old are offered: Monday - 11:15 - 12:00 noon Mommy and Me Craft Kids classes Our Mommy and me craft Kids classes are geared for children 2 to 8 years old. These classes allow you to bond with your child through the wonderful world of art! Each week, our class focuses on a theme that will be exemplified through the crafts we make. The program implements different mediums into our crafts to keep them fresh and different from anything you have ever made before! It is one of our goals to use lots of different textures, colors, and methods to put together a piece of artwork that both you and your child can be proud of! One of our Craft Kids' mothers insightfully pointed out that it is not always the end result that counts; it is how the child got to that point throughout the process that is important. For example, even though the picture should be a tree and it looks like a blue blob, kids are happy while they are painting the “tree.” Our children in our classes are always so excited to do the crafts and love to go home and show dad and their siblings what they created that day! Children also enjoy coming to class each week and seeing their artwork hanging up on our wall. Craft Kids wants your child to take away a sense of accomplishment from designing these unique and fun crafts! Mommy and me and Mommy and me Craft Kids classes are 10 weeks long (session) with each class lasting 45 minutes. The cost is $150.00 per session and a one-time registration fee of $35.00. We offer discount for repeat customers. Registration is required. Only 10 children per class. Intro to Music Our Intro to Music class focuses on introducing kids to the joy of music! The main objective of the class is musical development. Children will get a basic knowledge of composition and reading sheet music. Students will learn about singing, as well as the different musical instruments, including woodwind, brass, percussion, and string. In each class, the first half is dedicated to teaching new skills, while the last half of class works on songs to perform at the recital given for parents and relatives at the end of the session. Classes are for children 5-8 years old and are 45 minutes long. Sessions run for eight weeks and are $225, with a one-time registration fee of $35. Classes start September 22nd and are limited to 10 kids. Call to sign up today before space runs out! This class is offered: 5 - 6 year olds on Mondays from 4:00 - 4:45 pm 7 - 8 year olds on Mondays from 5:00 - 5:45 pm Intro to Acting Our Intro to Acting class will get your little ones ready for the spotlight! Our acting teacher will work with your kids on how to do scene work, improvisation, and all other aspects of theatre. They will learn the lingo such as props and stage crew. Independent and group work will be utilized to prepare your children for the short play at the end of the session. This short play will be for parents and relatives. Acting games and other tools will be used to ease your child into performing in front of other people. Classes are for children 7-10 years old and are 1 hour long. Sessions run for eight weeks and are $250, with a one-time registration fee of $35. Classes start September 23rd and are limited to only 8 kids. Parents do not need to be present but are encouraged to stay. Call to sign up today! This class is offered: 7 - 8 years old on Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm 9 - 10 years old on Wednesdays from 6:15 - 7:15 pm Parent Relief Nights Once a month, Time In offers parents the night off from 6:45 – 10:00 p.m. You will be able to drop your kids off while you go see a movie or go out to dinner! The night includes an hour of open play, a meal, and a craft or movie on our new 96x96 projector screen! The price for one child is $25.
